Rendered in low, raking light against a field of unbroken bone, The Contessa presents the Pug in the posture of inherited authority — chin lifted a half-degree past necessity, shoulders draped in sculptural fur, the eyes entirely uninterested in the viewer's approval. The composition borrows its geometry from Northern European court portraiture and its wit from nobody at all. A study in eccentric sophistication, the work anchors a contemporary interior with quiet confidence and intentional humour, delivered without a single raised eyebrow.
Issued in an edition of fifty, each impression numbered and accompanied by a hand-signed Certificate of Authenticity.

Details
Savoir-Faire
Archival pigment print on 310gsm 100% cotton rag — acid-free, lignin-free, mould-made, with a natural white surface and a subtle vellum tooth that holds fine detail without introducing gloss. Pigment inks are rated in excess of one hundred years under museum display conditions, and each edition is proofed against a reference print before the run is released.
A generous border is retained on all four edges so the sheet can be float-mounted without trimming.
Framing
Works are supplied unframed, with the full border retained, so that a framer can float-mount the sheet without cutting into it. The atelier recommends solid blackened oak with a 30 mm face, hand-mitred at the corner, behind 99% UV-filtering acrylic — lighter than glass, safer in transit, and materially better for the work over time.
Bespoke framing can be arranged through the advisory service.
Edition & Provenance
Every work is issued in a strictly limited edition — the size of which is stated on this page — and is hand-numbered in the lower margin. Each impression is accompanied by a cotton-rag Certificate of Authenticity carrying a blind embossed seal, recording the title, scale, edition position and date of issue. Once an edition is complete it is retired permanently and is not reprinted at that scale.
Delivery & Packaging
Insured worldwide delivery, fully tracked. Works travel wrapped in pH-neutral archival glassine inside a rigid charcoal tube with flush end caps, or in a bespoke rigid flat case at the larger scales. Every consignment is insured for its full acquisition value in transit.
Returns
A work may be returned within 14 days of receipt, unmarked and in its original archival packaging, with the Certificate of Authenticity returned alongside it. Return carriage is borne by the collector except where the work arrived damaged or was incorrectly supplied. Refunds are issued within 5 working days of inspection.
