Dalmatian in Sage is a contemporary portrait defined by restraint, texture and sculptural form.

The Dalmatian is presented with an almost classical stillness, framed by intricately rendered curls and a substantial cable-knit garment in muted sage. Against the warm ivory ground, the composition is reduced to a sophisticated study of line, material and tonal balance — black and white markings set against softened greens, stone and natural neutrals.

The work draws from the visual language of editorial portraiture and atelier fashion, yet remains deliberately timeless. Every element has been considered for its relationship to the whole: the rhythm of the coat, the structure of the knit, the movement of the hair and the generous negative space surrounding the figure.

Created as part of The Runway Collection, this piece is designed for interiors where artwork is expected to hold presence rather than simply occupy a wall.

Printed as a premium fine-art wall piece and produced to preserve the depth, detail and controlled tonal character of the original artwork.

Details

Savoir-Faire

Archival pigment print on 310gsm 100% cotton rag — acid-free, lignin-free, mould-made, with a natural white surface and a subtle vellum tooth that holds fine detail without introducing gloss. Pigment inks are rated in excess of one hundred years under museum display conditions, and each edition is proofed against a reference print before the run is released.

A 40 mm border is retained on all four edges so the sheet can be float-mounted without trimming.

Framing

Framed works are finished in solid blackened oak with a 30 mm face, hand-mitred and joined at the corner rather than butted. The blackening is worked into the grain, not laid over it. Glazing is 99% UV-filtering acrylic — lighter than glass, safer in transit and materially better for the work over time. Each frame is assembled to order in Europe.

Unframed impressions are supplied with the full border, ready for a framer to float-mount.

Edition & Provenance

Fifty impressions per scale. Each work is hand-numbered in the lower margin and issued with a cotton-rag Certificate of Authenticity carrying a blind embossed seal, recording the title, scale, edition position and date of issue. Once an edition is complete it is retired permanently and is not reprinted at that scale in any finish.

Delivery & Packaging

Complimentary insured worldwide delivery on all framed works. Unframed impressions travel wrapped in pH-neutral archival glassine inside a rigid charcoal tube with flush end caps; framed works travel in a bespoke rigid flat case with custom foam inserts and a full-face glazing guard. Every consignment is insured for its full acquisition value in transit.

Returns

A work may be returned within 14 days of receipt, unmarked and in its original archival packaging, with the Certificate of Authenticity returned alongside it. Return carriage is borne by the collector except where the work arrived damaged or was incorrectly supplied. Refunds are issued within 5 working days of inspection.
